Now you can know the status of your company’s registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) anywhere in Nigeria. If you have been spending so much money going to and from to CAC in order to know if your company has been registered or if you have been wasting time waiting in CAC office so as to know the status of your company’s registration, this would save you time and money spent.
CAC recently launched a program to help as many people. Even though you will be paying a little token, it is small compared to all you have been spending or what you might spend on checking the status of your company’s registration wit CAC.
The steps to follow is as stated in the picture below
In case you can see the image well, this is what to do…
You simply send an SMS to 33965 as follows;
Type: CAC
Note: You dont need to add Nigeria and/or Limited to the COMPANY NAME when sending the SMS
The reply you get from corporate affairs commission will look like this;
Company is registered and the Reg No is xxxxxx
OR you can use this method
Type: CAC
The reply you get from corporate affairs commission will look like this;
Company is registered and name is XYZ ltd
Please note: Companies registered in the last three months may not be in CAC’s database. So, you are advised to visit a CAC office close to you is you started your company’s registration in less than 3 months.

I sent this twice yesterday (Sunday, Nov 13) and no response till now, sent with RC number and even Company name, N100 deducted already, how long does it take to get response back? ahaha! are you sure this is not another fraud-sms?
1. When did you started the registration with CAC? If it’s within the last three months, you might not get a reply. 2. If you started the registration 3 months above, the system will confirm the code and automatically respond with the actual company name withing 60 seconds, so please contact CAC through www.cacnigeria.org/jm/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=68
